Heritage Narrative
The IWC-Porsche Design partnership began in 1978 with a shared ambition: apply Stuttgart’s lightweight engineering to Swiss horology. One result was this Titanium Triple Date Moonphase, reference 2387386. Its 32 mm sand-blasted case employed aerospace-grade titanium—a material virtually unknown in watchmaking at the time—while the clean, gauge-like dial followed Ferdinand A. Porsche’s form-follows-function philosophy. By integrating a full calendar and moonphase into a compact, anti-magnetic package, the model linked two disciplines: precision motoring instrumentation and mechanical timekeeping.
