Launched in 1977, the Must de Cartier line was the maison’s first to blend classic Cartier design with vermeil—gold-plated sterling silver—offering a more accessible taste of Parisian elegance while retaining Swiss craftsmanship. Among this family, the Rivoli takes its name from Rue de Rivoli, the landmark boulevard adjoining the Louvre and home to a historic Cartier boutique. Produced in limited numbers into the early 1990s, the Rivoli stands out with its UFO-inspired, lens-shaped case, minimalist baton hands, and a sleek, gilded dial reminiscent of the era’s futuristic style. Powering it is the Cartier Calibre 90, a quality Swiss quartz movement recognized for its reliability and slim construction.
